The Best Night Light for Children

A night light in your child’s room is a great solution if they’re having night scares. We were recommended the VAVA baby night light by our GP. My nine year old daughter loves having it on her bedside table. So naturally, I’m happy to recommend it too.

What do I love about the VAVA night light? It is rechargeable so there is no ugly, dangerous power cord, and no single use batteries going to landfill. Obviously avoiding single use batteries is a win for sustainability. This also makes it easy and safe for older children to be responsible for their night light.

The mini portable light is a small egg shape that fits nicely in children’s hands, making it safe to carry. It is great for night time bathroom visits when children need a toilet light.

Before my daughter had the VAVA night light light she would come into my room most nights, but now she sleeps through more often. Sometimes when she wakes up she taps her light back on to reassure herself. Empowering children to self settle throughout the night is a gift of life skills.

The small VAVA night light is in addition to the night lamp on my daughter’s bedside table that she uses for reading books at bedtime.

Features of the VAVA Night Light

The VAVA light is touch sensitive so it is easy to turn on and off with a gentle tap, and has the added feature of turning off automatically after one hour. The 7 LED colour options allow for a different favourite colour choice each night.

My nine year uses the changing colour mode on a dimmed setting to help her drift off to sleep. An unexpected bonus of the light is that the scrolling colours act as a great visual meditation tool.

If you are looking for an unexpected gift for children than I can highly recommend the VAVA baby night light. If you need other gift ideas for children read my gift giving post by clicking the link.
