The most important office tool has to be a good desk chair. If you can’t sit comfortably for an hour, then getting through your tasks for the day is going to be challenging. If space is limited you might want to try a swiss ball which can double as exercise equipment. Never underestimate the power of a simple back cushion or shoe box under your feet to perfect the ergo dynamics.
Desk at Home
The next item of importance for an office space at home is good computer screens. You can’t work for eight hours a day on a laptop screen. That’s a sure way to eye and back strain. Take it from this Mum who attempted supervising her young children doing school at home whilst she worked on the laptop in the same room. I ended up with a migraine headache the next day. We all know that the most obvious way to make the most out of working from home is to take the time to exercise. Get out in the garden and grow some food. Start cooking dinner at lunch time when you can run your cook top and oven on solar power if you have it.
