The June long weekend that we spent in Mudgee was only a few weeks ago, yet it seems like months.
Mark and I were lucky enough to be invited by two of our friends to join a group of their friends (most of whom we met for the first time) in Mudgee. We have visited Mudgee before, but going in a group, and staying in serviced apartments was a different experience which was very enjoyable.
We had two dinners and a breakfast in house where everyone got together to cook and clean up whilst sharing many good laughs, and when we were out in town I think we made a bit of a name for ourselves.
Many wineries were visited, and our group was pretty lucky to have two designated drivers. Particularly when we visited Burnbrae Wines and decided to enjoy a late lunch on their deck. Ah, what a life!
Later we ended up at the Mudgee Brewing Company where we enjoyed great beers and entertainment by Steve Charles who is a performer that really loves music, and consequently his audience had a great time.
All good things must come to an end, and on Monday when the weather turned we all headed home. With liquid souvenirs.
