• Feeling Grateful With My Adorable, Sassy Two-Year-Old Coffee Date

Two year old attitude has kicked in and fortunately feelings of being grateful have come along with it. Yesterday I made a real effort to do fun things with my youngest daughter, just the two of us. She may have guilted me in to it last Thursday when her big sister was at kindy, and…

  • Crazy Carrots and Cute Kids Growing and Picking Vegetables

It’s been a long time since I last grew carrots, mainly because they aren’t easy and they take a long time to grow before you can harvest them. But, my kids LOVE eating carrots, so it doesn’t make sense that we aren’t growing our own. Thus, we changed that, and we got these funny shaped carrots…

It’s thanks giving weekend and the chickens are getting well and truly looked after. The chickens and I were gifted a brand new super efficient chicken feeder. Meet The New Chicks On The Block

This is how it all started…

My eco-warrior journey started out as a primary school child when the World Wildlife Fund visited my school. I became aware of people who were looking out for Mother Nature and her creatures, and realised that I was one of those people.

The journey of an eco-warrior is never ending, and when I moved out of home I was quick to start growing my own herbs. At the same time I figured I may as well grow my own tomatoes and strawberries too, and this attempt led to an unexpected friendship with my elderly neighbour who didn’t speak English and I who didn’t speak Italian. What my neighbour didn’t know in English she made up for with food growing knowledge and kidness which she passed on to me. It was her influence that has led me down the path of empowering others to grow their own food.
