• How to Make Lemon Cupcakes

I have been feeling the urge to bake for some time now, but with the certain overindulgence that comes after baking I have been resisting. Thankfully I had an excuse to bake recently. I made lemon cupcakes for a special lady’s birthday celebration. Since it was a special occasion I splurged a little on the…

  • How to Make Seafood Paella

The other night I made seafood paella for Mark’s and my dinner. It was delicious! I used a recipe from MOVIDA by Frank Camorra and Richard Cornish as a guide. I made their MOVIDA Paella but since I was only cooking for two I removed the rabbit, periwinkles and mussels which also removed the need…

  • Stunning Langkawi Sunset Cruise from Casa del Mar Resort

The all inclusive Sunset Cruise at Langkawi was unbelievably enjoyable. To be honest, I think Mark and I really enjoyed stepping on another persons  boat and being looked after. Normally we are the hosts on the boat or on the boat with family helping out. It was lovely to simply step on a boat empty…

  • June Long Weekend in Mudgee

If you are looking to explore New South Wales and have a holiday close to home then consider Mudgee. This small town has so much natural beauty and culture to explore. There are lots of wineries to visit and the Mudgee Brewing Company is a must visit for dinner and drinks with live music.

This is how it all started…

My eco-warrior journey started out as a primary school child when the World Wildlife Fund visited my school. I became aware of people who were looking out for Mother Nature and her creatures, and realised that I was one of those people.

The journey of an eco-warrior is never ending, and when I moved out of home I was quick to start growing my own herbs. At the same time I figured I may as well grow my own tomatoes and strawberries too, and this attempt led to an unexpected friendship with my elderly neighbour who didn’t speak English and I who didn’t speak Italian. What my neighbour didn’t know in English she made up for with food growing knowledge and kidness which she passed on to me. It was her influence that has led me down the path of empowering others to grow their own food.
