• Society Shame, Please Slow Down and Look After One Another

What is happening to society? I must confess to being shocked by the total lack of chivalry in society when I rejoined the world of public transport this year. Mostly because my husband who is allergic to bus travel wouldn’t dream of comfortably sitting on his ass whilst a lady stood. But today took the cake. Whilst I was…

  • Langkawi the Perfect Honeymoon Destination

It is fast approaching a month since we returned from our honeymoon in Langkawi and I am a long way behind on my creative outlets. My blog has hardly been touched, the wedding thank you cards haven’t made it beyond a thought, and I’m worried that the lid to my piano is frozen shut. And…

The journey of an eco-warrior is never ending, and when I moved out of home I was quick to start growing my own herbs. At the same time I figured I may as well grow my own tomatoes and strawberries too, and this attempt led to an unexpected friendship with my elderly neighbour who didn’t speak English and I who didn’t speak Italian. What my neighbour didn’t know in English she made up for with food growing knowledge and kidness which she passed on to me. It was her influence that has led me down the path of empowering others to grow their own food.
